REGIONAL MANAGER FOR NEW YORK CITY AND TRI-STATE AREA

General Description/Purpose:

The Regional Retail Manager will ensure a high level of service to lead a culture of customer and employee satisfaction in their assigned showrooms. The Regional Retail Manager does this by providing leadership, direction, and support to Stickley retail showroom employees. The Regional Retail Manager will have P & L responsibility for their assigned Stickley retail locations. The Regional Retail Manager will also, establish and nurture Stickley organizational culture, implement showroom operational procedures, maximize regional sales opportunities, effectively implement company programs in support of company initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Understands the local region to improve showroom sales performance by analyzing market data in order to identify trends and gaps impacting sales and customer service.
  2. Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, business ethics, and commitment to organizational goals.
  3. Effectively communicates to all levels of the organization.
  4. Sets aggressive goals to ensure achievement of sales and income plans targeting at minimum annually at 95% or greater.
  5. Ensures all employees understand the goal of driving sales, and creates a world-class selling culture. Seeks opportunities to develop others when planning goals and reviewing performance, and provides timely feedback, coaching, and recognition.
  6. Communicates, monitors, and reinforces business goals and sets clear expectations for sales and service, and redirects employee's when efforts may fall short.
  7. Makes sound hiring recommendations to the Director of Retail Operations and Executives.
  8. Develops regional best practices and ensures the execution of Stickley operations including but not limited to sales order entry, delivery, add on sales programs.
  9. Addresses business challenges by looking past quick fixes to solve root-causes of issues and improves Stickley's competitive advantage by identifying and addressing trends that impact the customer shopping experience
  10. Model's and reinforces Stickley's values in interactions with employees, customers, and in the community and advocates the Open Door program by modeling behaviors of fairness, approachability, and respect for others.
  11. Ensures Showrooms appearance, staging, and stock presentation are in grand opening condition on a daily basis.
  12. Effectively manages inventory turns, returns & allowances, and account receivables to meet budgeted objectives.

Essential Knowledge, Skills

    1. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks
    2. Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries
    3. Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need).
    4. Knowledge of company's mission, purpose, goals and the role of every employee in achieving each of them.
    5. Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area (including but not limited to LRT, telephone, cutting equipment, sanding equipment, presses, hand tools, painting and staining equipment, computers, copiers, fax machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, electric lifts, etc.).
    6. Satisfactorily complete all Stickley training requirements (including but not limited to departmental training, annual Hazardous Material and environmental training, Forklift
    7. Certification/, Grade Training (lumber) etc.).
  • Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC information

 

Performance Standards:

  1. Responsible for reporting to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences with the assigned Supervisor/Manager prior to the occurrence.
  2. Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work
  3. Responsible for being well-groomed and dressed in a business-and position-appropriate attire at all times.
  4. Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct as contained in company policy, employment procedures and responsibilities as described in the core handbook.
  5. Maintain a safe work environment at all times and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct a safety concern.
  6. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  1. Requires morning, afternoon and overnight availability any day of the week.
  2. Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advance notification and approval by Supervisor/Manager.
  3. Salaried: Generally scheduled for 50 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
