We have an opening for a part-time Customer Service Representative at our showroom in Albany, NY.

Position Overview

The Showroom Receptionist will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction by answering phones and greeting clients who enter the showroom while properly maintaining the Showroom Designer rotation. The Customer Service Representative does these functions in the support of Stickley Retail Operations and the sale of Furniture.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient in the operations of computers and multi-line phones systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and adaptable to multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and a high degree of accuracy with clerical duties.
  • Ability to work retail hours including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for greeting clients in a customer focused manner and facilitating contact with the appropriate employee they wish to see or facilitating the Showroom Designer rotation for new showroom clients.
  • Effectively operates a multi-line phone system and answers all incoming phone calls and ensure that calls are handled in a customer focused manner while qualifying and directing calls to the appropriate person.
  • Participate in showroom functions as needed including, but not limited to: interacting with Manlius departments, tagging, wrapping accessories, catalog/price list upkeep, cleaning, inventory, utilizing inventory management systems.
  • Accurately logs client foot traffic entering the showroom.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of product knowledge to assist in showroom activities as needed.
  • Processes administrative tasks including, but not limited to: record keeping, light bookkeeping, and running balances.
  • Works effectively with all showroom employees other various corporate personnel.
  • Displays a professional attitude and represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
  • Reports to the Showroom Manager on a daily basis during work days for direction, support, coaching, and proactively and effectively communicates operational, merchandise, and client concerns.
